Hey Bobby, you’re on our Inflyte Radar this month – where we highlight an exciting up and coming talent in club music. How are things going for you right now?
Hey guys, thank you very much for having me. Yes, everything is going pretty well, to be honest. I never expected to receive such extensive support in such a short time. It’s exciting and motivates me to work harder on my music.
You’re about to debut on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax imprint with your new ‘Turn It Up’ EP, it must be a great feeling to finally get that kind of recognition?
Oh yes, it is. I mean, it’s that label where you know only good music is to drop, and that’s a big success for me and having my productions on the imprint is a crucial step ahead for my career. Much love to Jamie for making this happen!
The release includes two strong originals, how would you describe the tracks in your own words?
Well, they are two completely different vibes. ‘Turn It Up’ is a club banger that brings specific energy to the floor, especially when the Indian guitar licks start to slap. ‘Hard Feelings’ is a track that gives you more of a ‘sexy’ vibe, so to speak. It’s a track you can listen to anywhere, at any time, a perfect track to start the day!
And the b-side features Nicole Dash Jones, how did you two come to work together?
One day she messaged me on Instagram after seeing me on TikTok that day by using one of my tracks. She was really into my music and asked for a remix from a song on her album she was about to finish. After listening to this song, I was so fascinated by her style and voice that I wanted to start working with her. So I finished the remix first, and we had this track done soon after.
Previously you’ve released music on DistroKid, Nothing But, and your own Shann Music imprint, which other labels might we see you on in 2022?
Nothing confirmed, but I’d love to sign something with Solid Grooves or Cuttin Headz; that would be the next step. But I’m working on some new bangers that I’d love to land on Hot Creations soon. That is my next goal for sure!
Do you have a ‘bucket list’ label which you hope to work with at some point in your career?
Not really on my bucket list, but the labels I mentioned before are those I could imagine working with during my career. It’s where I think my music really fits.
Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions, is there anything else you would like to mention before we go?
Thank you. It was my pleasure. I just want to give a big shoutout to everyone who believes in me and my music. There is a lot to come yet. See you guys. Love B!
