No two pairs of ears look the same, hear the same, or have the same tolerance to audio frequencies. This goes some way to explaining why some DJs needs to crank the life out of the booth monitors, while others can find the right balance, between front of house, booth and headphones that helps prevent hearing fatigue and the onset of tinnitus.
An Australian company called Nura claims to have come up with a solution for this problem with a pair of headphones that will “automatically tune to your unique hearing, bringing your music into stunning focus”.
They call it Nuraphone and it’s already raised a bunch of cash through it’s own Kickstarter campaign last year and are now available to buy for the general public as of October 3rd.
