Amsterdam have elected Shamiro van der Geld as their new Night Mayor, Shamiro will replace Mirak Milan who served two terms for a total of six years, Milan was responsible in bringing Amsterdam its 24-hour licenses.
The role of Night Mayor is to act as a liaison between the nightlife industry and the Mayor and council. Van der Geld will hold the position for three years, from 2018 through 2020.
