Beatport further their plans to launch a DJ friendly streaming service with the acquisition of Pulselocker’s assets. The technology includes the ability to access a legal library of tracks inside DJ software such as RekordBox, Serato and Virtual DJ and use it offline and for public performance.
Beatport CEO Robb Daniels said: “Beatport is committed to delivering the best tools to create a more seamless and interoperable user experience for our massive ecosystem of DJs, and Pulselocker accelerates our timeline to deliver just that type of product.”
With Spotify going public this week and Beatport pushing to launch new products, it shows the music industry seeks constant innovation.
