Amsterdam’s popular club De School have announced plans to launch their own label ‘De Nieuw’ this December which they say “will aim to capture the sounds of the different rooms of the venue”.
The label will launch with a live LP from Oceanic, who have been residents of De School since it first opened. Titled ‘Live At De School’, it is taken from their performance from October 21st 2017 during Amsterdam Dance Event.
Performed on a custom-made string instrument routed through a modular synth to a small crowd of 200 people on pillows surrounding Oceanic, the album was part of a 64-hour event which ran from Friday evening to Monday afternoon.
