Glastonbury are banning plastic bottles from 2019's festival

Glastonbury have revealed plans to ban the use of plastic bottles for next years event. Currently in a fallow year for 2018, the team are using this time to make essential changes.

Festival organiser Emily Eavis told BBC6 Music it will be an ‘enormous project’. Glastonbury also manage their ‘Love The Farm… Leave No Trace’ campaign which encourages visitors to avoid littering, urinating outside of the allocated toilets and to not leave belongings such as tents behind after the festival.

With well over 100,000 in attendance the change will no doubt make a major impact on the environmental toll and clean up of the festival.
