Having broken a six year hiatus with their Humanz LP last April, it took Gorillaz just eight months to announce in December that another album was in the works, and now we know the title and release date.
With a series of posters at London’s All Points East Festival that read “Save Us From Him, You Gotta Have Fate, G Is The Magic Number, Algorithm Is A Dancer, No More Unicorns Anymore”, fans were directed to TheNowNow.tv where a short clip shows Gorillaz animated character 2D for a split second, as well as the assumed album title ‘The Now Now’ and the release date June 29th.
The clip is also dubbed with a synth heavy dance track which we assume is a snippet of a track on the album. Stream the clip below.
