A.Way brings his latest single ‘Half Life 3’ to bass music imprint Evolution Chamber, in collaboration with Czech artist Thez.
We spoke to the Slovakian producer about the new track, his approach to working with different record labels, and what else 2025 might bring for him.

How is life for A.way right now?
I’m fine. Work, fitness, food, sleep. That’s my routine now and I love it.
You just returned to Evolution Chamber for the release of your latest single ‘Half Life 3’ – talk us through how the track came together in the studio?
I got the vibe to play Half Life as a nostalgic go through. And about halfway through the game I said to myself that the inspiration is so strong that I’m going to make a track out of it, and so I did.
You’ve also signed music to Rushed Down, Spirited, and Sinful Maze in the past, how do you typically approach working with different record labels?
It’s fine. Lots of emails and signings and different artwork and sending press packs but that’s the life of a producer right? I’ve definitely gleaned a lot of useful information from these releases that I’ll use again. So it’s mainly about communication as well so the key is to depreciate and not leave your responsibilities for tomorrow. Then it’s a guaranteed success.

You won best newcomer at the 2024 DNB Awards Germany – how do you carry that momentum into this year?
Apart from the fact that I can write it in my bio now, I haven’t noticed that it has affected my career in any major way. I’m glad to have been appreciated like this and I really appreciate it.
What’s one thing you’re looking forward to this summer?
I have just released Masterclass 2025 for beginners and advanced producers and I plan to devote myself to this business full time. I would like to create the biggest drum & bass community on the internet to help producers and DJs who are confused and don’t know where to start. So summer in a room behind a computer, IDEAL.
