Lebanese music producer Bachir Salloum has seen strong success in the past, with releases coming on record labels like Balance Music, Moodmusic, and Earthly Delights, and he most recently appeared on Mango Alley with a new three-track offering titled ‘Vivid Imagination’.
We spoke to the Beirut-based artist to ask him about the new EP, how 2024 went for him as a creator, and what things he’s looking forward to in 2025. Read the full interview below.
How are things in the life of Bachir Salloum right now?
Things are going really well! I’m feeling inspired and excited after the release of ‘Vivid Imagination’. 2024 was a great year, and I’m looking forward to new projects and new ideas for 2025. Life is busy, but it’s a good kind of busy!
You recently returned to Mango Alley for the release of ‘Vivid Imagination’ — how did you and NOIYSE PROJECT come together for this one?
NOIYSE PROJECT and I have been fans of each other’s work for a while, so it was only a matter of time before we collaborated. We wanted to create something emotional and unique, and ‘Vivid Imagination’ was the result. Mango Alley was the perfect place to release it, as they care about quality and storytelling through music.
And it also includes remixes from Tantum and Meeting Molly — what are your thoughts on those?
I love both remixes! Tantum brought a darker, deeper feel to the track, while Meeting Molly gave it a more uplifting and dreamy vibe. It’s always exciting to hear how other artists interpret your music, and they both did an amazing job.
Which other labels could we see you on in the near future?
I’m working on a few exciting projects, but I’ll keep those under wraps for now. Let’s just say there is new music coming, and I’m looking forward to sharing it soon!
What goals have you set yourself for the 2025 year?
My main goal for 2025 is to improve my technical production skills. There’s always more to learn, and I want to experiment with different approaches and tools to evolve my sound. I’m also hoping to release more consistently and explore new genres.
And what was something you achieved in 2024 that really caught you by surprise?
Honestly, I was surprised by how much I grew as a producer this year. I tried new techniques, stepped out of my comfort zone, and found fresh inspiration. It reminded me how important it is to stay curious and open to new ideas. Also, seeing the positive reactions to ‘Vivid Imagination’ really reminded me why I love making music – it’s all about connecting with people through sound.
Is there anything else you want to talk about before we go?
Thank you to everyone who’s supporting my music. It really means the world to me. I’m excited about what’s next, I can’t wait to share more with you soon! Be kind, it’s free.
