One of Brazil’s hottest club specialists, Bruno Furlan, has been on impeccable form in both the studio and the DJ booth over the last few years, releasing his music on labels like Club Sweat, and Claude Vonstroke’s DIRTYBIRD.
A few weeks back we saw him make a welcomed return to Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations camp, for the release of a brand new 2-tracker titled ‘La Fiesta’ – which combines the title track with ‘Give Me That Bass’.
We got to ask him a couple of questions about the new release, what else he might have coming soon, and what he’s planning for his own Track ID imprint. Read the full interview with Bruno Furlan below.
Hey Bruno, how has November been for you so far?
My November has given me a lot of ‘La Fiesta’ vibes so far!
You recently made a return to Hot Creations to release your new ‘La Fiesta’ EP, how would you describe the two originals here for anyone that hasn’t heard them yet?
These two are definitely my favourite tracks I’ve made until now. The feeling of a stronger bassline and cheeky groove are two elements that make this EP so unique. You will know what I’m talking about once you play it.
You’ve also released music with imprints like DIRTYBIRD and Club Sweat, what’s your typical process when it comes to signing new music after a fruitful studio session?
When I finish my music in the studio, the first thing I always do is test it out at my gigs to see the crowd’s reaction. After that, I take time to send it out to the labels I like the most. Besides that, I really try to keep my sound unique every time.
And your own Track ID label, who might we expect to see on there in the coming months?
We have just started to cook up some juicy stuff bringing the Track ID label to life, and it’s getting better and better every day! Something that I’m really excited about is bringing new talents to the label with fresh ideas, and also signing unknown names and talents who may be a little more risky. I would say I trust the process in that.
There are so many great producers around the globe, and most of the time, they do not get any chance to show what they can do and don’t even get a chance to be accepted or recognised by popular labels. This label aims to bring all the ‘unknown’ talents and showcase them on a platform where they can be seen and heard. To make them the special ones.
You’re of course from Brazil, who are some emerging Brazilian talents that you think we should be keeping an eye on?
There are definitely some exciting names you should be aware of for the future: Bemore, Trallez, Abudd, Deeft, and many, many more.
And what’s something everyone visiting the country should definitely do?
As you probably know, our country is full of extremely beautiful nature, but I cannot miss out on the fact our ravers are some of the most dedicated in the world. The crowds here are so motivated and supportive; you must visit one of our festivals or events to see it.
Is there anything else you want to mention before we go?
If you like what you’ve been hearing so far from Bruno Furlan, stay tuned, because I have some special releases on a plate coming very soon. I honestly hope you enjoy my music and the latest ‘La Fiesta’ EP as much as I do, because it was made with pure passion that simply describes my sound. I also hope to see you at any of my gigs!
