Since opening in 1991, London’s Ministry of Sound has been one of the most versatile brands in dance music, and now the nightclub and record label will open a completely brand new co-working space for creatives in South London.
Called ‘The Ministry’, the space will include a bar, restaurant, 36-seat cinema, a terrace lounge and a number of sound proofed studio spaces.
Built inside a former 19th century print works, the space will be designed by Squire and Partners and is expected to open in July 2018.
The Ministry’s creative director Simon Moore said: “From the start we challenged convention, broke rules, and helped create an entire youth culture. Now 27 years later, the desire is to use the knowledge gained over this time to create the perfect environment for the next generation of rebel creative businesses,”
“Unlike other companies within this space, we actually understand how creative people work and what their environment needs to be like to maximise their chances of success.”
