Infamous analog synth maker Moog have revealed a brand new semi-modular unit called ‘Grandmother’, the synth brings the ability to create sound without patch cables, while also offering the full sonic-editing capabilities of a modular unit.
Inspired by Bob Moog’s work in the 60’s and 70’s, the Grandmother features an arpeggiator, a sequencer, reverb, filter, external audio inputs, USB MIDI, and a 32-key keyboard all inside a bright and multicoloured housing.
Set for an official launch at this years Moogfest in North Carolina which kicks off on May 17th, the retail for the Grandmother will be around $999. The first 500 units are available via Guitar Center.
