UK based DJ and producer Nicole Moudaber has become an iconic name among the techno elite, thanks to her MOOD Records label and award winning radio show, InTheMOOD.
Moudaber is now using her influence for a great cause, to fight the horrible effects of female genital mutilation. Her ‘ELEVEN’ campaign is aiming to raise money for the support of victims of FGM and to protect anyone potentially at risk in the future.
Over 200 million women are currently living with the effects of FGM, with millions more at risk every year, and every minute 11 girls are affected. The act can result in infection, infertility and even death.
The campaign, which launched in parallel with the International Day of The Girl Child will give all donations to Magool, a charity created by psychotherapist and human rights activist Leyla Hussein.
