Pioneer DJ are giving aspiring DJs a new option when it comes to entry level gear with the launch of their new XDJ-RR all-in-one unit.
Priced at £1,019, the XDJ-RR is over £500 cheaper than the current flagship all-in-one, the DDJ-RX2 and offers a more affordable route for anyone who wants to try out a Pioneer DJ system without forking out a few grand for a full CDJ setup.
Besides the lower price point, the XDJ-RR has fewer beat fx and color fx than the DDJ-RX2, as well as fewer performance pads, though it does feature a 7-inch colour display, albeit not a touchscreen.
On the plus side you can record your DJ mixes straight from the hardware to an attached USB and it also comes with a full license for Rekordbox which is worth around €139.
The XDJ-RR is perfect for small spaces, or when portability might be a concern. A protective cover is also available though will be released at a later date.
