Lee Burridge and his All Day I Dream imprint have released music from Tim Green, Sebastien Leger, Rhome and YokoO in recent times, and have permanently established themselves as one of the flagship providers of organic sounding house music in the process. This month they welcome Gorje Hewek back to the label, as the Russian producer furthers his depth as an artist with the release of his debut long player, Collages. Across the albums 10-long tracklist, we’re treated to everything
from deep house and ambient, to organic house and classical. It’s also heavily ripe with features, with Amonita, Makebo, Lost Desert, Volen Sentir and M.O.S. all contributing in one form or another. Whether you’re a fan of Gorje Hewek, All Day I Dream, or just electronic music as a whole, this one will definitely check a few boxes for your music collection. Not too much changes over the duration of the record, though it does connect seamlessly from start to finish, which is a compromise we’re more than happy to live with. Below you can find some of our favourite starting points for Collages, as well as some previous releases from Gorje, and a few similar albums from the All Day I Dream catalogue.
Where to start:
Forest Song In The Morning: Flute melodies & warm vocals unite on this one
Actrice: Soft vocals, live percussion & ambient strings build an emotive soundscape
Leto Ete-Satien: Classical sounds meet groove-heavy deep house drum work
