Berlin-based Australian artist Logic1000 returns to Therapy for the release of her debut studio album, ‘Mother’. The project follows a string of single releases from her on the label, and delivers some of her best work to date. Featuring contributions from Rochelle Jordan, Kayla Blackmon, DJ Plead, and MJ Nebreda, the album also includes a number of vocals which bring a more radio-friendly touch to the tracklist. The record was also written alongside Logic1000’s partner, Thom
McAlister. Making your way through the 45-minute run time, you can expect a house-focused blend that also makes a subtle lean into the worlds of breakbeat and progressive at times, and keeps a well measured balance of slightly more commercially-viable house sounds, and straight up club tracks.
Where to start:
Promises: Filtered synth chords and vocals from Rochelle Jordan
Saint Rex: Tightly packed drum grooves and infectious synth work
Cartier: Massive low end and dusty breakbeat rhythms
