One of Germany’s most decorated electronic music acts returned to our feeds earlier this month as Berlin-based creator Oliver Koletzki released his 10th studio album, ‘Trip To Sanity’. The record, which includes an impressive 18-tracks, was produced between his second home in South Africa and his Kreuzberg-based music studio, and in his typical collaborative-focused style of working, brings a generous list of featured artists – including contributions from Niko Schwind,
Hidden Empire, Natascha Polké, and Fritz Kalkbrenner. The Stil Vor Talent boss has been responsible for some massive releases during his 30+ year career as a DJ and producer, with his tracks getting tens of millions of plays across platforms like YouTube and Spotify, and we’re sure some of the titles included on ‘Trip To Sanity’ will follow suit. The core of the record sticks to his usual form factor of vocal-heavy melodic house and deep progressive, though we do get a pretty eclectic spread throughout. Everything from jazz, funk, and techno can be heard as you make your way down the extensive tracklist, and he manages to keep a consistency that only comes from having the kind of experience that Oliver brings.
Where to start:
Stay Until The Light: Vocal-tinged melodic club track
Heart On Hold: Tightly packed house cut with vocal from Fritz Kalkbrenner
Mind Games: Darkened synth bass and heavily filtered melodies
