French born DJ & producer Sebb Junior has been on our radar for more than half a decade, thanks to his robust, rhythmic, and well produced brand of underground house. The now Granada-based artist has released his productions on labels like Freakin909, Milk & Sugar, Large Music, and Let There Be House Records, and he also heads up his own imprint in La Vie D’Artiste Music, where he has helped push artists like Samo, Martin Alix, Vincent Caira, and Mr. V to the masses. Sebb returned
to his label this month for the release of his third studio album, Me Against The World. The 12-track record delivers a highly impressive tracklist that features deep house, tech house, and disco, alongside some subtle funk and garage influences. If you’re a fan of punchy club drums, fiery bassline rumbles, filtered synth chords, glistening string pads, and catchy vocal hooks, then this one will fit perfectly into your record collection. Look to ‘Candy Bar’ for aggressive resonance fuelled stabs, ‘We Bout To Get Funky’ for rich club rhythms, and ‘The Future’ for straight up funk basslines.
Where to start:
Candy Bar: Punchy kick drums and resonant synth stabs
Hide Away: Filtered chords meet pitched up vocal samples
Dat Good Ol’ World: Rhythmic piano melodies and fat kick drums
