This year found our own CEO, Paul Hamill, out at the IMS College in Malta where he moderated the Tools Of The Trade panel, a discussion between industry folk on all things digital marketing.
Among the speakers were Inder Phull, the founder and CEO of KRPT, who’s clients include New Balance, ASICS, Wateraid and Paco Rabanne, Luke Curtis, a dance music focused photographer that has worked with DJ Mag, Elrow and Mixmag in the past, Myradh Cormican, a freelance marketing specialist who manages social media for artists such as Eats Everything, Sasha and Patrice Baumel and lastly, Sebastian Simone, Warner Bros Records’ Head of Digital Strategy in the UK, his team handles marketing efforts for massive artists like Lil Pump, Dua Lipa and more.
With the panel briefing stating ‘key platforms and techniques you need to be aware of to grow your presence in the music industry’, the discussion involved talk of topics like the impact technology has had on music, brand partnerships involving artists, content creation focused on social media posts, how to use analytics to your advantage, getting the attention of blogs and tastemakers and how to measure the difference between following and engagement.
