Five Tracks: BEC

Originally born in the UK, but now based out of Berlin, techno DJ & producer BEC has had a pretty spectacular rise during the past couple of years.

In that time she’s released music with some of the most prestigious record labels in her genre, including Adam Beyer’s Drumcode, Carl Cox’ Intec, and Monika Kruse’s Terminal M.

This month will see the British artist return to Factory 93 Records for her 3-track ‘Phantasy’ EP, which includes original titles ‘Phantasy’, ‘Transcend’, and ‘Level Up’. The title track dropped as a single last month, with the other two coming out at the end of this week.

BEC handles this months edition of our Five Tracks, where we see her select music from Ryan James Ford, Operator, and Episode 1, among others. Get the full list, including words from BEC below.

Episode 1 ft. Murahni – Rofhog
Label: JAM

No-nonsense straight forward techno vibes from Sam Paganini’s JAM label. I’m really digging this one in particular, the break builds up a lot of tension and energy.

Operator – Carbon Towers
Label: Symbiolism

I’m a big fan of Ben Sims, and almost everything that’s put out on his label, including this new one from Operator!

Non Reversible – Sundaze
Label: Children Of Tomorrow

Love the vocal lick, combined with the vibe of the chords, you’ll definitely hear this one in my sets!

BEC – Phantasy
Label: Factory 93

Included my latest release on Factory 93, hope you like it.

Ryan James Ford – A83
Label: Clone Records

Absolutely love the melodies working with each other, and breaks – bringing such a euphoric vibe. Reminds me of UK rave days.

BEC – Phantasy EP is out February 24th on Factory 93.
