Black Spuma carry the peak-time energy of their new Megamix EP down into Paul Inflyte’s In The Basement, with a 14-track mix of acid, electro, new beat and Italo-tinged club music.
The German/Italian duo of Philipp Lauer and Fabrizio Mammarella have released together since 2015, though their friendship goes back to 2006. Lauer is also one half of Tuff City Kids with Gerd Janson, while Mammarella runs Wrong Era, home to the four-track Megamix EP, out now. They told us more about it in our recent interview.
All four Megamix tracks feature: the title track and the gritty acid of “Das Ende” come early, “You Might Be Lonely Up There” sits mid-mix and the near-industrial “Glutamania” lands late on. Around them are German new beat from Time Modem, Gerald Donald’s Der Zyklus and Thee Church Ov Acid House, before Lauer’s forthcoming “Rerunner” and Palms Trax’s “Soft Trance, Hard Gossip” close things out.
