Damian Lazarus has become an important face for the British tech and deep house scene, through running his Crosstown Rebels imprint he has brought music from names like Jamie Jones, Art Department and Seth Troxler and besides his renowned label, Lazarus has also come to gather attention around his work with his The Ancient Moons band. The band now follow their 2015 debut album Message From The Other Side with an 11 track record titled Heart Of Sky. Within the albums 11
individual tracks we find a mixture of classical arrangements, bassline led club tracks, dreamy synth pop and everything in between, all while maintaining an 80’s influence at its core. The record was also recorded at Lazarus’ custom built studio space, Monastic Studios, in Tuscany, Italy.
Where to start:
‘All I Need To Get High’ – Strong percussion and dreamy vocals
‘Five Moons’ – A vocal track that’s buried in lovely melodies
