Spencer Parker has become known for his impressive DJ sets and eclectic studio productions, so much so that most would put him amongst the top selectors in Europe. The London born, Berlin based artist has played at the likes of Panorama Bar and released his music on Rekids, Tsuba, Twirl and more, including his debut ‘A Gun For Hire’ LP with Saved Records. Now following up with his second long player, Parker just put out ‘Dance Music’ on his very own label, Work Them Records. At 22 tracks
in length, ‘Dance Music’ is an extremely versatile tracklist of house, disco, electro and downtempo. Sprinkled with plenty of interesting and carefully selected samples, 7 of the 22 tracks are field recordings that showcase spoken words, radio broadcasts and general room ambience. Parker said “The tracks I make are the tracks I play in my sets and tracks I want people to dance to – that’s where the title comes from.” The album is also coupled with a tour, from September 14th to November 30th, Spencer will head to London, Berlin, Hamburg, Paris, Manchester and Amsterdam.
