Ultra Music Festival will return to Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami from March 26 to 28, 2027, and its first lineup announcement gives the weekend a clear direction. Familiar headliners are present, though much of the actual news comes from first-time B2B sets, artist-led performance concepts, and six curated stage takeovers. We previously covered the 2018 city vote that temporarily moved Ultra away from Bayfront Park, which adds context to its continued presence at the downtown venue.
I keep coming back to how many sets were created specifically for this lineup. Calvin Harris will make his first Ultra Miami appearance since 2024, Marshmello and Subtronics will perform together for the first time, and Boris Brejcha will join Eric Prydz Presents Cirez D for the pairing’s first U.S. appearance.
That focus on distinct programming has become an important part of Miami’s festival calendar. We recently looked at how III Points built its ::444:: stage around extended sets and intentional listening. Ultra operates at a different scale, using exclusive collaborations, named artist concepts, and label takeovers to give each stage its own purpose.

First-Time Pairings Give Phase One Its Identity
Marshmello B2B Subtronics pairs two major bass artists for a set you won’t find on either artist’s standard touring schedule. Boris Brejcha B2B Eric Prydz Presents Cirez D follows a similar idea, connecting Brejcha’s high-tech minimal catalog with the techno material Prydz reserves for his Cirez D alias.
Alison Wonderland will perform with Tiffany Day for the pair’s festival debut. Nico Moreno and NOVAH are also booked for their first U.S. appearance together.
The named concepts carry equal importance. Sara Landry will present the U.S. debut of Divine Intervention, while Miss Monique will bring BIORHYTHM to an American festival for the first time. Phase One also includes Adam Beyer, Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Boys Noize, Dom Dolla, Martin Garrix, Michael Bibi, Steve Aoki, Indira Paganotto, Klangkuenstler, and DJ Pee .Wee, Anderson .Paak’s DJ project.
The Stage Takeovers Matter Here
Mau P will bring Baddest Behaviour to Ultra, while Drumcode will host its first RESISTANCE takeover. Drumcode has plenty of experience programming events at this size, which we previously dove into in our coverage of the label’s festival stage splits.
SOFI TUKKER will introduce Animal Talk as the duo’s first curated Live Stage takeover. STMPD RCRDS will mark its tenth anniversary with dedicated programming, A State of Trance returns for its fifteenth Ultra takeover, and Alteza Records will also control a stage.
These takeovers make the lineup feel less like a list of big names and more like a planned weekend. They let each label or artist project group related performers, which can make choosing a stage easier once the daily schedules arrive.
