Germany’s Alex Ridha is better known to most people as genre pushing selector Boys Noize, popular for his eclectic club sound that gathers influence from techno, electro, house and acid.
Though Ridha doesn’t always stick to the Boys Noize project, in the past few years he has worked with West Coast artist Snoop Dogg and dropped a number of different tracks with Skrillex under the pairs Dog Blood alias.
He once again furthers his desire for experimentation with yet another moniker, this time ELAX. The guise will kick off with new track ‘Reaktor’, an inclusion on Solomun’s Diynamic Music label as they deliver the 12th edition of their ‘Four To The Floor’ series, the other three productions on the release come from Matthew Dear, Denis Horvat and Animal Picnic & Novakk.
As is usual from the BNR boss, his sound here is full of surprises, with loud and heavily equipped sound design displayed in a patient progression of filters and live percussion. You can stream the track below now.
