Erol Alkan is releasing his first solo EP in five years

London based Turkish artist Erol Alkan will return to releasing music with his first solo material in over five years. The EP comes in the form of two tracks – Spectrum and Silver Echoes.

The release will land next week on November 9th and follows his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix this past Saturday, the mix was a part of the radio shows 25th birthday which also saw sets from Patrick Topping, Derrick May, Slam, Heidi and Skream among others.

Alkan said “Dear friends, it feels so good to be able to write that new music is finally out there. Both ‘Spectrum’ and ‘Silver Echoes’ represent different sides of my current approach to DJing. Ever since I decided to focus on playing longer sets, it immediately became apparent as to the kind of club records I felt I needed to make. After spending the last 5 years recording bands, or collaborating with other artists, I decided to write music for my Dj sets, and this is the first offering. Thanks for listening.”

His Spectrum EP will arrive November 9th on his own Phantasy Sound label.
