Another promising prospect has been emerging from Belgium’s club circuit recently, as Antwerp’s Axel Haube continues on a run of form which has seen him release with labels like Watergate Records, Running Clouds, and Eklektisch.
His latest studio release comes via Eleatics, a 4-track collaborative EP between himself and Running Pine titled ‘Disconnected’, which also includes remix work from both The Element and Ivan Masa.
Haube joins us for this months edition of Five Tracks, where he highlights music from producers and labels such as VNTM, Glowal, Several Definitions, Sapiens, Impressum, and Parquet Recordings. Get the full list, including words from Axel himself, below.
Several Definitions – Helium
Label: Parquet Recordings
“Such a powerful track, I was surprised when I played it for the first time on a proper sound system it was THAT good and THAT effective. I remember looking at my girlfriend who joined me at that particular gig like ‘what a huge track!’. I’ve been following Parquet Recordings for a long time already but this is definitely one of the strongest tracks from the label for me.”
Annett Gapstream – Halluzination
“I recently discovered Annett through her music and was mind blown with this track. A very powerful bassline and vocal. I must admit I have a small weakness for German vocals. I’m looking forward to what’s coming up more from her.”
ENOS & VNTM – Downfall
“A collaboration from three of my favourite up-and-coming producers on Fideles’ Impressum label. ‘I love it when a plan comes together’ would be my reaction when they exported the track out of their DAW. Amazing job here from the boys!”
Lauren Mia – Tantra
“This is one of those tracks that goes on repeat while I’m driving my car. Lauren Mia is a very talented producer from LA and such a lovely person. This track is a masterpiece for me, she keeps it interesting from begin to end.”
Glowal ft. Simon Batten – Roda
“The two boys from Italy land every time with their tracks, releases from Afterlife to Innervisions to Sapiens. Amazing music, track after track, but this is definitely one of my favourite tracks from them. Although I really do like it more when they do the vocals themselves. Next to great producers, they’re great DJ’s as well.”
