Five Tracks: Korolova

Korolova has seen a swift rise through the ranks of the European club scene during the past 12 months, releasing her own productions on labels such as Get Physical and Area Verde, as well as handling an increasingly busy touring schedule.

Her most recent studio effort finds her take on remix duties for Phonique’s ‘Feel What You Want’, which comes via the Berlin-based veteran’s own Zatar Music imprint.

The Ukrainian Korolova makes a welcomed addition to our Five Tracks series this week, where she highlights some of her favourite tracks from names like Cassian, Franky Wah, Øostil, and others. Get the full list, including words from Korolova, below.

RÜFÜS DU SOL – On My Knees (Cassian Remix)
Label: Rose Avenue

I’m a big fan of Rüfüs Du Sol. When I got the promo with a remix from Cassian, I just said “wow”. It’s always in my playlists. It consistently gets a great reaction from the crowd and only positive vibrations.

Øostil & Juan Hansen – Drown (Massano Remix)
Label: Afterlife Records

I have been waiting for this track since I first heard it on the videos from the Afterlife showcase. It is very deep, emotional, and melodic with a killer drop. Massano made such a banger, it’s always with me at every gig.

Anyma & Chris Avantgarde – Consciousness
Label: Afterlife Records

The first time I heard this track, it gave me goosebumps. And it still does pretty much every time I play it! This track makes people go crazy on the dancefloor. It’s deep, mystical, and powerful. All three in one, which for me is the perfection combination.

Franky Wah & AR/CO – Under The Sun
Label: Terracotta Records

This is the most positive track I’ve heard in a long time, I always want to sing when I play it. It is perfect for the end of a set when it’s time for hugs and to feel that emotional connection with a loved one – I love that moment.

Doanro & Lonner – Kupala
Label: Diynamic

This track is by Ukrainian producers – my friends Lonner and Doanro. With ethnic motifs, it is our Ukrainian national song with a unique drop, and I feel super inspired and proud whenever I play this. The track is out on Solomun’s Diynamic.

Phonique – Feel What You Want (Korolova Remix) is out July 1st on Zatar Music.
