Five Tracks: Luuk Van Dijk

Dutch talent Luuk Van Dijk has already released music on a number of top house imprints, including Hot Creations, Solid Grooves, and his very own Dark Side Of The Sun label.

The latest offering to come from his Amsterdam-based studio is his new 4-track The First Time EP, which features a collaboration with Mizbee, and recently dropped on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax.

Taking over our Five Tracks this month, Luuk highlights some great club tracks from Locklead, Youandewan, Bamboo Curtain, and others. You can find the full list, including words from Luuk himself, below.

Locklead – B-Leave
Label: Dungeon Meat

My dear friend’s biggest track ever just came out on Dungeon Meat. Wesley A.K.A. Locklead is one of the finest producers we have in Holland and I’m happy to say he’s gonna do something on my label Dark Side Of The Sun soon!

Bamboo Curtain – Tranquility
Label: Chic Trax

I’ve been digging a lot this last year and found some real gems. I really love this track for it’s arrangement and progression. Especially the moment the chords come in at 2:22, I love it when a track changes all of a sudden. Will work nice on the dancefloor!

Sheethanger – For You Alone (Spin Cycle’s ‘Hangin It Out To Dry’ Remix)
Label: Forged Recordings

I heard this track in a VBX set somewhere and have been on the hunt for it ever since. I really like the spooky vibes, just toooo dangerous! Shoutout to Julian Anthony for hooking me up with the track ID (as always) haha.

Youandewan ft. Art Feynman – Slow Down
Label: Butter Side Up

Been a fan of Ewan for a while and he recently released this banger! A lot of tracks are super fast these days and I think it’s very cool that this track is a little slower.

Luuk Van Dijk – Jus’ Listen
Label: Hottrax

Nice.

Luuk Van Dijk – The First Time EP is out now on Hottrax.
