Five Tracks: Sam Wolfe

The American techno scene is currently at an all-time high with renowned clubs in major cities like Los Angeles and New York welcoming top-notch selectors to the country on a weekly basis.

Naturally, this has inspired a burst of emerging local talent to pursue their passions as both music producers and DJs, with one of said talents being American artist Sam WOLFE.

Despite being only a few years into his artistic journey, WOLFE has already released tracks with prominent techno labels like Tronic, Senso Sounds, and 1605. And he now returns to 1605 for his latest release, ‘Mind of One.’

Sam also joins us this week for our latest edition of Five Tracks, where the American shares his favourite music from T78, MOTVS, Umek and other artists. Read the full list, including words from Sam himself below.

MOTVS – We Go On
Label: Exetra Records

“MOTVS is the definition of an Italian beast, as his tracks are always massive, and this one is a pure bomb that shreds the dancefloor every time.”

Quadrophonia – Quadrophonia (UMEK Remix)
Label: 1605

“UMEK only knows how to put out bombs, his tracks always have a divine low-end control, and Quadrophonia launches a classic into the year 2023.”

T78 ft. Frankie Bones – I Feel A Storm (Raito Remix)
Label: Autektone Records

“Raito smashes it with this remix, and the last drop sounds like Godzilla fighting King Kong, as all the sounds are massive and it always wrecks the club.”

Mauro Somm – Used For The Bounce
Label: Tronic

“Mauro Somm might as well change his name to Master of the Groove, as his tracks always have the grooviest drum patterns and most precisely engineered hi-hats I’ve ever heard.”

Khatune – Forever Is Ours
Label: Orange Recordings

“Khatune is a champion of the peak time techno scene in Lebanon, and one of the coolest dudes I’ve met. He absolutely nailed the breakdown in this track, and it goes off in the club every time I play it.”

Sam WOLFE – Mind of One is out May 5th on 1605.
