Aili – Takoyaki (Terr & Daniel Watts Remix)
Label: Eskimo Recordings
Playful synth work, punchy drum sounds, and metallic percussive rhythms, Terr and Daniel Watts transform Aili’s original in an upbeat club track.
Ben Böhmer & Lykke Li – Hiding
Label: Ninja Tune
German artist Ben Böhmer crafts a fluid soundscape of softened melodies and hollow percussion. Finished off with an excellent top line from Lykke Li.
Floating Points – Del Oro
Label: Pluto / Ninja Tune
Big swampy low end sprinkled with filtered percussion and constantly evolving melodies. Impressive sound design throughout. Floating Points at his best.
Mark Broom – Satellite (2024 Mix)
Label: Beard Man
Rework of Mark Broom’s 2011 ‘Satellite’ – driving drum grooves, energetic basslines, and stabbing synth sounds. Some lovely high pass filter work in the build up too.
deadmau5 – Quezacotl
Label: AWAL Recordings
deadmau5 does what he does best with multi-layered chord harmonies, flawless sound design, and stripped back drums. Big throwback with the aggressive use of sidechain in the drop.
Jasper Tygner – Before Me
Label: Technicolour
Strong resonance on the synth melodies, skippy percussive rhythms, and pitched up vocal samples. Jasper Tygner goes deep on big introspective harmonies.
