New London venue will rival Wembley and O2 Arena

Plans for a new 23,000 capacity London venue have been revealed, currently named ‘crystal ball arena’ the giant spherical arena is being managed by the same company behind New York’s infamous Madison Square Garden.

Set to include 18,000 sets and 5,000 standing capacity the arena will be based in Olympic Park in Stratford, London, on a five-acre plot that was bought last year for around £60,000,000. The space will feature an advanced audio environment and have the ability to host augmented and virtual reality events.

Jayne McGivern, MSG’s executive vice president for development and construction said – “It is absolutely game-changing technology in the way people will come to listen, watch and interact. It will revolutionise the way music and entertainment is viewed.”
