Peggy Gou and Ninja Tune win big at 2018 AIMS

South Korean sensation Peggy Gou and British indie giant Ninja Tune took home two of the biggest accolades during the 2018 annual independent music awards in London on September 4th.

Held for the 8th consecutive year, the AIM Awards honours artists and labels outside of the major label system.

Peggy Gou took home an award for Independent Track Of The Year for ‘It Makes You Forget (Itgehane)’, which currently has over 3 million plays on YouTube.

Ninja Tune, who have released music from BICEP, Young Fathers, Nathan Fake, Leon Vynehall, Helena Hauff and Peggy Gou in 2018 received an award for Independent Label Of The Year.

Other winners include Black Acre’s who won Best Small Label, Jorja Smith with UK Breakthrough Of The Year, and Goldie, who was honoured as a Pioneer. SOPHIE, Dave and Tracy Thorn also took home awards.
