Following on from his success under the guise of R.O.S.H., which saw him release on record labels like Turbo Recordings, Material Music, and Monkeytown Records, UK club talent Works Of Intent brings the first fully fledged release from his latest project, ‘Richer Sound’. The album arrives via Laurent Garnier and Scan X’s COD3 QR imprint, a label which has seen previous outings come from the likes of Madben, Marco Bailey, and Francois V. It delivers 12 tracks in total, with 6 previous releases being
paired with 6 newly minted productions, and goes heavy on everything from swampy techno cuts to piercing breakbeat rhythms. Throughout the record we’re treated to a wide spread of quirky one shot sounds and ambient textures which elevate the album beyond your standard collection of club tracks, and makes it a pleasure to listen to from start to finish.
Where to start:
You Should: Polished breaks layered with weighted drum hits
Left Unseen: Heavy techno cut with a massive low end
Hard Year: Chunky club stabs and lots of neat filter work
