DJ extraordinaire Solomun is making a return to releasing music with his first full EP in three years, and with good reason. The Customer Is King EP comes as release 100 for his Hamburg based Diynamic Music imprint.
The release will include three tracks in total, opening title track Customer Is King is a cinematic electronic hybrid which throws around upbeat melodies and softened drums in dramatic fashion. Track two Dre offers thick and swampy synth bass and warm chord progressions, and is no doubt a summer friendly dance floor heater. The third and final tune on the EP is Ich Muss Los, with a dark and sinister nature it balances the mood of the overall sound.
As you might also notice with a quick look at the cover art, the release is linked to Rockstar Games, though in what way is still a mystery, perhaps an official soundtrack for a forthcoming Rockstar title? Hopefully Solomun, Diynamic and Rockstar won’t keep us in the dark too long.
