Poker Flat Recordings has for a long time been a foundation for Germany’s deep and tech house sound. John Tejada, Alex Niggemann, Martin Landsky and Trentemoller have all been key artists on the labels past releases.
Returning to the imprint for the next offering are label bossman Steve Bug and his long time friend and collaborator Clemans Kahlcke, aka. Cle. Alongside two originals from the pair, Dutch producer Edwin Oosterwal also delivers a Dub mix of the EPs title track.
The opening title track It’s Time brings filtered house stabs, edgy pitched down vocal samples and increasingly infectious club grooves. On the other end of Bug and Cle’s original offering is Ritual, it combines strong percussion hits and pacing synth work for a danceable party driven tune.
Edwin Oosterwal’s Dub Mix strips down the It’s Time original to enable wider grooves and body moving rhythms. The It’s Time EP will arrive June 29th 2018 on Poker Flat Recordings.
