A 13-piece Daft Punk orchestra are heading to Glasgow

French electronic music duo Daft Punk are perhaps the most successful dance act in history, having released multiple number one albums and several multi platinum records as well as collaborations with some of pop musics biggest names such as The Weeknd, Kanye West and Pharrell Williams.

Though their journey started on Slam’s Glasgow based Soma Records with their debut single ‘Da Funk’ which dropped in 1995. Now as a little nod of recognition, a 13-piece Daft Punk orchestra is coming to the Scottish city following a number of shows in London.

On September 13th the orchestra will perform reworks of Daft Punk records at Saint Luke’s & The Winged Ox. They added: “Comprised of some of the most sought after musicians in the country, The Daft Punk Orchestra have already performed 30+ sell out shows in London, and – by incredible public demand – are now able to present this unforgettable live music experience across the UK.”
