Backyard Sessions announce their second edition in Malmo, Sweden

With the first edition of their XL Sessions in 2017, Swedish festival Backyard Sessions brought Claptone, ANNA, Finnebassen, Recondite, Sailor & I and more to Malmo’s Folkets Park, and the DIY, family-friendly festival certainly made a lasting impression.

Now announcing their 2018 plans, Backyard return to the same Folkets Park on September 1st and 2nd with a hope to build on year one. So far the confirmed acts on the 50% male and 50% female line up will include Or:la, Bebetta, Oxia, Nolah, Per Hammar, Lur (live), Dominik Eulberg, Helga Keller, Gidge (live), Miss Melera, Rey & Kjavik, Tim Andresen, Patrick Siech and Sandra Mosh, the last two of which will play back-2-back. Backyard have also confirmed that more acts are to be announced, so keep an ear to the ground for that!

Alongside two days of talent stacked musical performance, the event will also gather conference speakers, pop up street kitchens, a childrens village and more for what will seemingly be a strong bridge between electronic music focused parties and general entertainment and family fun.

Alex Esser, one of Backyard Sessions Co-Founders said: “It’s good to see our festival growing for a second year, putting Malmö on the creative map of Europe. For our international visitors we really want to show everything Malmö, Sweden’s 3rd largest city has to offer – the local electronic prodigies, the food, the art and the media conference”

Tickets for the festival are currently in presale and come in around SEK 318 incl’ BF, which converts to around £28. Children will gain free entry if accompanied by a ticket-holding adult, find more info here.
