British techno icon Carl Cox has teamed up with Chip E to deliver a revamped production of the American’s 1985 house anthem ‘Time 2 Jack’. The edit will come on Carl Cox and Jon Rundell’s Intec Digital imprint.
Chip E, who is known for producing some of the most influential tracks in early house music, as well as collaborations with the late house pioneer Franky Knuckles, hooks up with Cox to bring a new energy to Time 2 Jack.
With heavy kick drums, tireless percussion rhythms and lively acid bass, the original gets a new-age sonic clarity and a new life in todays house culture.
The release features a version with the original vocal samples and an instrumental version and will land on Intec Digital on May 18th.
