Pioneer DJ go wireless with their HDJ range

Japanese music tech manufacturer Pioneer DJ have been leading the pack for decades when it comes to top quality digital DJ decks, and their headphone range is no different.

The current range offers a number of options for different levels of DJs, with the HDJ-X5 being the entry level model, a mid range option with the HDJ-X7 and the flagship model, the HDJ-X10.

Adding a new model to the line up, Pioneer DJ have just announced the HDJ-X5BT, being exactly the same as the HDJ-X5 with additional bluetooth capabilities.

Available in three colours, red, black and white, the HDJ-X5BT offer 40mm drivers in a compact foldable design, and the built in battery offers up to 20 hours of playback off a three hour charge, meaning you can use them on those long flights to your upcoming gigs!

A 1.2M coiled cable is also included in the box, with Bluetooth’s latency issues you’ll need this if you want to use the cans in the booth.

With the new built in battery, the X5BT weigh around 50g more than the X5, at 319g they are not the lightest bluetooth headphones but should still be light enough not to cause any comfort issues.

The HDJ-X5BT are available from £139.99, you can grab the promo video below.
